2011 Nissan Sentra SE-R Advanced Air Bag System 2.5 L DOHC
Press Release:The Nissan Sentra SE-R has always held a special place in Nissan’s performance lineup. Following in the tradition of powerful, sporty sedans such as the Datsun 510 and the “4-Door Sports Car™” Maxima, the high-value, high-performance Sentra SE-R builds on a great foundation – the 2011 Sentra sedan – adding a range of factory performance features – including a high-output 2.5-liter engine, tuned suspension and standard 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. The Sentra SE-R is offered in two models, the SE-R and SE-R Spec V.
Following a number of exterior, interior and mechanical refinements for the 2010 model year, the changes for 2011 are limited to the addition of the Nissan Navigation System to the SE-R Upgrade Package and Spec V Upgrade Package. The Secure Digital (SD) Card-based navigation system includes a 5-inch color touch screen display and XM NavTraffic® Real-Time Traffic Information capability (XM® subscription required, sold separately).
Once again in 2011, the SE-R Spec V offers one of the best power-to-price ratios in class of 200 horsepower for around $20,000. Both the SE-R and SE-R Spec V are powered by Nissan’s advanced 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine (QR25DE). The SE-R is rated at 177 horsepower and the Sentra SE-R Spec V at 200 horsepower. The SE-R and SE-R Spec V are built on Nissan’s global C-platform and offer a long list of standard safety features, including six supplemental air bags.
Both models are equipped with unique (versus non-SE-R Sentra models) performance-oriented equipment and features, including 4-wheel disc brakes with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Traction Control System (TCS) and specially tuned suspension (SE-R Spec V). Special SE-R exterior and interior appearance modifications include standard sport appearance headlights and taillights, fog lights, sport grille, unique front and rear fascias, side sill spoilers, exhaust finish and SE-R or Spec-V rear decklid badging.
